“My Book of Me”, a role play imaginings collective was born over serveral balmy Saturday afternoons at a Timbuktoo Creative Workshop. Authored by a group of sprightly 6-8 year olds, the book’s intent is to encourage its young writers and equally, its readers, to connect with their blossoming personalities. Using free association, the children identified with objects and experiences of the outside world. Donning different hats, they quickly slipped into fun personas of food, holidays and songs, which found expression in verse with much laughter and spontaneity.

My Book of Me is an affirmation for every child that their personalities, while being “many splendoured” can belong to no one but themselves. I hove every child who reads this book will ask himself or herself the question: who am i going to be today? Happy discovery!”
