Publisher’s foreword:

“When Shaun’s mother sent me his stories, they seemed at first glance to be simple fantasy tales that would understandably capture a child’s imagination. But a closer look revealed a common thread of humanity in them. A lion cub reaches out to an alien, a mermaid offers solace to a boy and an icecream robot holds hands with a biscuit. Ironically, there is no human face behind any of the aspects of humanity! It revealed a heart-warming insight about children: their trust, belief and lack of conditioning; an ability to see good in all creatures where even the non-living are endowed with goodness. The stories won my heart for this reason.”
